Mateusz Gauza began violin at the age of five, under Professor Andrzej Skuza at the Mieczyslawa Karlowicz music school in Poland. He later studied music full time with violin his primary focus. Whilst studying he performed with the school’s philharmonic orchestra. During this period Mateusz formed his own jazz band and performed with them for over eight years.
Upon graduation from music school, he went on to become a member in a Polish-German international symphony orchestra with which he performed at home and abroad.
Mateusz says of his teaching approach:
My goal as a teacher is to instill a sence of music appreciation, while at the same time teaching about the technical aspects of music. I am able to reach out to each student, introduce new concepts, foster a fun learning environment while helping students to blossom and find their own individuality.
He introduces young children to the violin using the renowned ‘Suzuki Method’.
